As the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 disease, continues to spread across the globe at a very fast pace, several international passengers were tested positive for COVID-19 at Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport, Amritsar today.
According to the information available, over 125 passengers out of the total 179 from Italy, who arrived at Amritsar on a chartered flight from Rome, were found COVID-19 positive.
The chartered flight from Rome was operated by the Italian carrier, Neos Airlines, which had been operating charter flights between Amritsar and Italy since past few months.
