There is some good news for the thousands of pilgrims from Punjab who visit Takht Sri Hazur Sahib at Nanded, one of the five Sikh Takht. On August 3, Air India resumed its direct flights between Amritsar and Nanded. The flight was suspended by Air India in May due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country and low travel demand.

According to the schedule available for the month of August on the Air India website, the flight departs from Sri Guru Ram Dass Ji International Airport, Amritsar every Tuesday and Saturday at 6:50 am and reach Nanded at 9:25 am. The same flight would again depart from Nanded at 10:20 am and reach Amritsar at 1:00 pm.

To facilitate passengers from Delhi to connect with Nanded, Air India will operate this flight as Delhi-Amritsar-Nanded-Amritsar-Delhi. The flight will leave Delhi for Amritsar early morning at 4:55 am and arrive at 6:15 am, then leave Amritsar for Nanded. Similarly the flight will depart Nanded for Amritsar and then take-off from the holy city of Amritsar at 1:40 pm and reach Delhi at 2:55 pm.
