After the UK Government’s decision to relax restrictions for passengers arriving from India, by placing India in it’s Amber list, Air India after resuming its non-stop Amritsar-London Heathrow flights on 16th August 2021, has now decided to resume its non-stop Amritsar-Birmingham flights.
Starting 3 September 2021, Air India will resume its once weekly non-stop, Amritsar-Birmingham flights.
According to the schedule available from Air India website, the timings of these flights is as follow:
From Amritsar To Birmingham (Every Friday)
Flight Number | A117 |
Departure From Amritsar | 15:00 |
Arrival At Birmingham | 17:20 |
From Birmingham To Amritsar (Every Saturday)
Flight Number | AI118 |
Departure From Birmingham | 19:30 |
Arrival At Amritsar | 7:35 (+1) |
The airline will operate Amritsar- Birmingham flights on every Friday while Birmingham-Amritsar flights on every Saturday.
In late December 2020, due to certain travel restrictions imposed in both the countries, the airline had suspended this route.
While the international traffic demand is recovering amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the resumption of both London & Birmingham flights will help fliers between Punjab and the UK to travel conveniently.
