Delhi International Airport is now offering Drive-thru RT-PCR testing for passenger traveling on Air Canada flights from Delhi to Canada. Air Canada resumed its direct flights from the airport to Toronto and Canada after the Canadian government on September 26, suspended the ban on direct flights from India to Canada. Air India also started direct flights to Toronto and Vancouver from Delhi.
In a Tweet, the Delhi Airport posted, “Passengers travelling from @AirCanada can opt for Drive-thru RTPCR test service, located at level 2, Multi-level car parking at Terminal 3.”
According to the tweet, currently only passengers flying on Air Canada can avail this facility at the airport.
In response to the tweet, many on Twitter are asking the airport if this facility is also available for Air India passengers. The airport in response is requesting them to contact the airline.
As per the Canadian government mandate, all passengers departing to Toronto or Vancouver must undergo an RT-PCR or a Rapid PCR test no more than 18 hours before the departure at the T3 Covid19 testing facility.
