A day ago, a picture was shared with me taken at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It’s heartening and encouraging to see so many travelers flying from Amritsar, Punjab, waiting for their connecting Malaysia Airlines flight to Auckland, New Zealand.
Many of these passengers began their journey from Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport (ATQ) in Amritsar. Despite a slightly longer transit time of about 7-8 hours, they are choosing this route over the hassle and risks of a lengthy road trip to #Delhi or flying via Delhi. Flying directly from ATQ saves time, adds convenience, and shows the growing appeal of Amritsar as an international travel hub.
The growing number of international travelers from Amritsar is a positive sign, showing the potential and demand for more direct international connections from Punjab. Let’s keep supporting Amritsar as a vibrant travel hub by choosing and advocating for flights from our region, ensuring that it remains a vibrant gateway to the world.
Safe travels to everyone, especially our friends and family from Punjab heading across the world!
