A Canadian Member of Parliament from from Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon in British Columbia and Shadow Minister for Pacific Economic Development, MP Brad Vis has sponsored the FlyAmritsar Initiative’s petition in the Parliament for Initiation of Direct Flights To Amritsar. FlyAmritsar Initiative thanks and appreciate the efforts of Hon’ble MP Brad Vis for sponsoring the petition to raise this long pending demand of Punjabi diaspora and requesting the Government to proactively advocate for direct flights from Canada to Amritsar.

It is extremely urgent to facilitate the NRI diaspora who have to travel to Punjab from Delhi. There are quite a few challenges that they have to face in Delhi. Mainly there is lot of passenger load that the IGI authorities have to clear. Secondly lot of traffic problems on the way to Punjab, passengers have to face. Lastly mostly the NRI s make an extra trip to the Golden Temple to pay obeisance, that can be helpful to mitigate the traffic on the roads for an exclusive trip. Devotees can visit the Golden Temple before heading home. Lots of road traffic can be mitigated with train travel facilities up to Ropar, Nangal, Chandigarh, Patiala and Ludhiana districts.
